What We Learned From Last Night

Here's what we learned from the 126th GOP Debate last night:

  • Newt Gingrich wants child labor laws thrown out and union janitors fired because they make way too much money.  In their place, poor kids at the schools can do the janitor's jobs. Gingrich is a multi-millionaire who routinely spends hundreds of thousands of dollars shopping for his third wife at Tiffany's on Fifth Ave.
  • Rick Perry said NATO ally Turkey is being run by Islamic Terrorists and should be kicked out of the alliance. Turkey's foreign minister immediately released a statement calling Perry's remarks "baseless and improper."
  • Frontrunner Mitt Romney says he might release his tax returns come April.
  • Rick Perry said Texas and South Carolina are at war with the federal government.
  • Mitt Romney bragged about a steel mill making money after his investment firm threw some money at it.  Yet he neglected to mention that very same steel mill received tons of welfare from the federal government.
