If you haven't had time to watch the one-minute trailer for the new Super Patriotic conservative Republican book about the future of Revolution! in America entitled Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders, then you must give it a view. It's good for a laugh and the always prevalent tough guyism.
I'll leave to book critics to determine what exactly the book accomplishes besides telling us how tough the Republican Party is. One thing I will note other than the fact that it appears Reps. Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy are holding hands at the end the video, is what the book neglects. That is to say pretty much the 8 years of George Bush and his Republican rule. As Hotline notes (a magazine produced by right wing National Journal), the book only mentions George W. Bush 4 times. And current minority leader John Boehner, who I guess is too old to be a Young Gun, gets only 3 mentions.
That's because, as usual, all things with the GOP the reign of Bush never happened. Unless we are to talk about all the good things that happened then we are never to mention the presidency of George W. Bush. Just like with the debt tripling under Republican rule, or that the bailouts never happened until Democrats took over, the same applies too when writing a book about conservatism.
