Sen. Dick Shelby of Alabama has placed a hold on all Obama appointees because he feels his state is not getting enough pork barrel money.
Here's how this will go. Shelby will get to place a hold on all the president's nominees because he feels his state deserves hundreds of billions of dollars in pork spending but the good senator will get to go home and campaign as a pork buster, small government conservative. On what planet can someone this hypocritical get away with such stuff? Oh yeah it's called the Republican Fantasy World we are all forced to live in.

It's been awhile since I've had the pleasure of writing about ultra conservative and family values Republican Mark Sanford. He's kind of been laying low since he got injured hiking the Appalachian Trail. I wish him the speediest of recoveries. Though it seems, oddly I might add, that after he argued against federal stimulus funds for his very patriotic state of South Carolina-- even calling them "slavery" and "child abuse"-- he went to DC yesterday to demand more stimulus spending for his state. If there is anyone that needs more stimulation, I don't think it would be Mark Sanford.
Here's how this will go. Mark Sanford gets to cheat on his wife, use tax payer money to pay for his love romps, idiotically call federal stimulus money "slavery," and then secretly travel to DC to demand more federal funds of which he'll get to go back to his home state and continue to be labeled as a small government, fiscal conservative with moral values. Amazing it truly is.
