- So what is it the very fiscally conservative Republicans are willing to cut? After all, now that they aren't in charge anymore they haven't shut up about slashing budgets, shrinking deficits, reining in spending and controlling the debt. So what is it Republicans are actually willing to cut? Nothing, except for maybe a split on foreign aid.
- New York Governor David Patterson (D) drops out of race. Sites too many obstacles. In reality trying to cover up an investigation of domestic violence for a top aide proves too much.
- Top political adviser Dave Axelrod calls for an up or down vote on HCR. Finally starting to catch on to the whole bully pulpit thing.
- And finally, who would have thought a simple comment from a beauty queen referencing the Bible is pretty "black and white" when it comes to stating gays should be put to death, would cause such a stir. Just think if she had said that she believes in talking snakes!!
