What Happens When Republicans Write History?

Posted by Chris On Mar. - 12 - 2010

Facts are a stubborn thing for Republicans and considering they hold considerable sway when writing textbook history, it's important to keep Republicans from lying out their tail ends.

You know things are bad for Republicans when they think it's scandalous to call a young lady a young lady.

I guess the Democratic candidate Creigh Deeds could have suggested that women should not have the right to vote like big bad conservative and NRO contributor John Derbyshire did last week. Or maybe he could have suggested to the young lady that feminism was created to give ugly women access to the mainstream like super tough guy conservative Rush Limbaugh does every day.

Now that I think about it, I bet Republicans are running the above ad to garner support from their base because Deeds properly addressed the young lady instead of telling her she should be at home. Nothing will fire up conservatives quite like calling a professional woman a "young lady" instead of their usual feminazi title they apply to them.
