Blog Updates

Couple quick items this morning.

First, the javascript on the site seems to be toying with me this morning. As you can see the slider at the top is stuck. I'll see what I can do about that.

Secondly, I don't always agree with the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. I have plenty of disagreements with them actually (guns, personal responsibility, stuff like that). But their gripes about media coverage when it comes to protesting does sound rather accurate. For example, in 2002 over 100,000 people showed up in DC to protest the impending war with Iraq and ultimately the Bush administration. As documented, WaPo covered the event on pg. 12. For the Tea Baggers, a group much smaller than 100,000 people, WaPo ran the story on Pg. 1. Inconsistent? Yes. Biased? Maybe not. But I do think those complaining about difference in media coverage do have a point, to a certain extent if nothing else.

Finally, It's worth a brief mention to note that Pollster.com has Obama's job approval trend line edging upward for the first time since early August. May not last but it's worth a mention.
