Is This a First?
Something to consider: never, not once, did George Bush have a positive approval rating throughout his entire second term. It's fair to state that he is the most unpopular two-term president in American history. But has any two term president had an entire term filled with four years of negative approvals? I really don't think there is another. I know Clinton didn't, Reagan didn't, Ike didn't, Truman didn't, FDR didn't...I think this is a first. On top of that, however, has any president, two-terms or not, had an entire term at negative approval? I really don't believe that's ever happened either. Not only was Bush unpopular, he was extremely, long-termly unpopular.
