Nearly 6 years into a three week war, 4,200 American lives later, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives later, nearly a trillion dollars of well-earned American tax payer money, not a single shred of evidence Iraq had WMD and not a single shred of evidence Saddam had anything whatsoever to do with 9/11, the American President, George Bush, says he's "very pleased" now with the Iraq war.
I would love to live in a world where I could just forget about this guy like my Republican friends are telling me to do. Sadly it's just too important to forget. "Anger" really isn't a word to describe something so catastrophic and something so senseless as Bush's war in Iraq.
*Update:
Oxymoron: Bush to open Freedom Institute.
I would be remiss and totally transparent to my gushing anger if I didn't also mention Bush's big plan after leaving office to start a Freedom Institute. I'm assuming the first project the neocon scholars will embark upon will be how invasion and occupation can lead to freedom for everyone including those who are ungrateful and not necessarily worthy of such generosity.
