The results are in and it appears Kent, Lisa and Jaz all wish I would leave George Bush alone and focus more on creating an Obama lovefest blog. Not to mention all believe that by having posts about George Bush and the failure of the GOP and not enough posts about Obama that I am "angry."
Yes, the only valid reason to ever oppose George Bush and the last 8 Republican years of total failure, no wait; the only reason to even mention any of it is because of anger. I wish it were only anger. Actually caring about your country and the world George Bush has created isn't enough motivation to oppose him or write about it, especially since now he is no longer president. That's just the case, however. George Bush is president and has been for 8 years. This world is his creation. The difference between me and those who believe I'm angry is they don't believe things are as bad as everyone is making them out to be. They really honestly don't.
Two endless wars costing $10 billion/month isn't that bad. The worst financial crisis since the Great Depression-- no big deal. Highest gas prices in history, don't sweat it. Highest unemployment in almost 25 years, no big deal at all. The first wage loss in American history, nothing to complain about. The nationalization of private business, trillions of dollars in tax payer funded bailouts-- debt our great-grand kids will be paying off, none of that is a big deal at all. To them, none of that is as bad as people are making it out to be. It's all part of a hysteria driven anger that has been totally misplaced on George Bush and the GOP.
President Obama will inherit the worst combined economic and military situation in American history. The advice to me from Republicans, people who voted for George Bush, is to quit focusing on any of that, forget about George Bush and just move on. I have no problem forgetting about George Bush, trust me. And I agree there will come a time when Obama's problems and decisions become his own, but before he's even taken office that time certainly is not now and wishful thinking to sugarcoat and gloss over our very real and serious problems facing this country is not the answer. Such reasoning by Republicans is largely to blame for how we ended up in this mess in the first place. Anytime a dissent, a difference of opinion, or just bad news in general gained fruition Republicans cast it aside as un-patriotic anti-Americanism and handled the situation exactly how Republicans are wanting everyone to handle it today, forget and dare never mention it. That's no way to run a country.
They so badly want Obama to take over because then, mark my words, all the problems I mentioned will become serious and be a cause of concern and accordingly all will be because of Barack Obama. Mark my words. That's the real reason they want it forgotten right now, because on Jan. 21st they will remember it all and want to put the blame on a new administration. Just like when Republicans lost power in Congress they all of a sudden became fiscally conservative responsible legislators again, they too will become "angry" just as soon as the greatest president ever leaves office. That's why I'm not forgetting because I know they won't either.
