When Do We Call It Fascism?

Greg Sargent is right. When is the fanatical behavior of McCain-Palin supporters going to be mainstream news? In the last two weeks we've had people scream, yell and cheer phrases like "kill him," "off with his head," "terrorist," "socialist," "hooligan," and who knows what else that isn't getting caught on camera. These people are worked up over the Democratic candidate for president. They want him dead, beheaded or pursued for terrorist activity. These are total right wing nut job fringe crowds that are gathering at McCain-Palin rallies; these are GOP supporters of four more years of the same Bush policies. Why is this not being reported?

If Obama-Biden had one person yell something to the effect of 'kill McCain' it would be front-page news. We all know it would. Such an episode would be used to portray just how extreme Barack Obama really is and used to judge the consequences of him becoming president. McCain gets no such treatment. On top of all that, McCain is encouraging the behavior. He's agreeing with them, telling the crowds how right they are when they shout such slogans. This is fanatical right wing behavior, this is uniformed fanaticism. These people want blood and are entirely being encouraged by the GOP candidate.  When will enough be enough?  If this doesn't demonstrate to the American people just how out of touch the GOP is with reality-- and maybe it would if it were being covered by the MSM-- then nothing will.  Any respect I had for the Republican Party is nearing zero.
