This is just how dumb Republicans have become. Since it’s perfectly acceptable to yell and cheer the death or beheading of a presidential candidate I’m no longer going to sugarcoat either. Republicans are stupid, plain and simple. Calling someone stupid and calling for murder are two different things and I hope I never give way to the extremity of such GOP norms. But stupid and dumb are now adequate and tolerable ways to describe the Republican Party.
This is just how stupid they are.
Republicans fear Barack Obama because they believe he’s a socialist, or rather the new term is Obama’s a Maoist. So freakin’ stupid but I’ll get to my point. The other day a man ranted at a McCain rally that with the help of Obama socialism is going to take over the country. After the rant, McCain said the man was right and went into detail how the Democrats are responsible for the current financial meltdown. You would have to be deaf, dumb, blind and stupid to not realize the person most responsible for socializing this country is George W. Bush. The Republican Party led by Bush and cheered by a Republican-controlled Congress turned the largest surplus in history into the largest deficit in history (in just one year mind you). Bush, single handily, ordered the government to take over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, a total nationalization of industry. He single handily ordered the government to issue AIG a $300 billion bailout, Bear Stearns a $30 billion bailout and billions to bailout Lehman Brothers. Two weeks ago George Bush laid out before Congress a $700 billion socialist expansion plan that would make tax payers completely responsible for failed industry without offering the tax payer (me and you) one single protection for assuming such debt. Socialism in every aspect of the word.
Even if that was all Bush has done to socialize our country it would be way more than anything Obama has proposed and way more than any spending plan Republicans say Obama supports. But Bush has done much more than just redistribute American wealth to prop up failed businesses. Bush, a Republican, also nationalized our education system with his No Child Left Behind program, the largest federal expansion into education ever. He also created the Department of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the world. DHS entirely puts the federal government in charge of the welfare of its citizens at all times. It is a socialist program. He also granted the airline industry the largest bailout in its history and still to this day airlines receive billions in federal subsidies—just call it socialism because that’s what it is.
Bush’s war in Iraq is by far the largest socialist expansion the American government has ever undertaken. What else can you call building roads, schools, hospitals, bridges, supplying jobs and other infrastructure to a foreign country at the rate of $10 billion a month? It’s socialism, there is nothing else it can be called and Republicans would be sure to use that word if any Democrat ever proposed such massive spending initiatives. They are already doing it to Obama and have been for over a year.
Their stupidity lies in the fact that the very person they twice voted to be president has done everything they want to kill Obama for. Moreover, their stupidity rests with the fact that the person they want to be president, John McCain, proposed just Tuesday night yet another massive $300 billion socialist bailout for the banking industry. His plan would effectively socialize our banking industry making the federal government (me and you) totally responsible for supplying home mortgages and insurance. That is not free market capitalism, it is socialism and Republicans are too stupid to figure this out. Or at least are too indoctrinated in their hate radio and Fox News media Fantasy World to care. Instead they claim to fear Obama and want to kill him because they say he will do the very things the person they voted for twice has done and the person they will vote for next wants to continue doing. Einstein said insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Certainly stupidity has to be doing the same thing over and over not realizing the results at all.
