Ron Paul Convention Dwarfs GOP's

15,000 show up for Ron Paul Convention. My question is why didn't Paul get a spot at the GOP convention? He got just as many votes as Trudy Rudy and Fred 'Red October' Thompson. And he's way more popular than Waylin Palin. So why didn't he get a slot at his own Party's convention? Probably because he'd give them way too much of the truth:
The G.O.P. convention has been a tribute to not only “country first” but, primarily, to government itself. The Paul convention, representing “the revolutionary wing of the Republican Party,” was as anti-government as a political convention could be. Arguments were made against nearly every task that government carries out, including taxation (not surprisingly) and regulation (of just about any sort), but also the funding of education.
That's right. Republicans love Big Government. It's their legacy. They celebrate it, glamorize it, and love to make it even bigger. As long as it's their government that is. Once they are out of power they'll go back to being small government conservatives again.
