The Bush-McCain Economy (*Update)

My buddy Kent is right. The Bush economy is so great and so strong that even when the Republican government bails out a failed business that can't balance it's check book, the Dow still loses 449.36 points. The GOP's socialist expansion on America has only begun. Not since FDR have we seen such monumental moves towards socialism in this country. And yet not one media outlet calls Bush or the GOP on it. Not one. Obama proposes spending 0.7% of GDP on foreign aid and he's called a socialist inciting class warfare for trying to redistribute wealth in America and around the world, and right wing blogs can't wait to spread it.

Congratulations, the American government now owns 80% of AIG. If 0.7% is socialism, then 80% is communism. Anyone who calls Bush and the GOP small government, capitalist, conservatives is a liar. And I mean that in every sense of the word.

*Update:

John McSame as Bush hours before the GOP's socialist bailout of AIG:
No, I do not believe that the American taxpayer should be on the hook for AIG and I’m glad that the Secretary Paulson has apparently taken the same line.
John McSame as Bush hours after the GOP's socialist bailout of AIG:
I didn’t want to do that. And I don’t think anybody I know wanted to do that. But there are literally millions of people whose retirement, whose investment, whose insurance were at risk here. They were going to have their lives destroyed because of the greed and excess and corruption.
The guy can't tell the truth. He will walk the Bush line no matter what, because the Bush line is the Republican line. He totally flip flops in a matter of hours and he's still the Straight Talk Express.
